Jin Geng is the director of the Center for Polymers in Medicine at the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
After gaining PhD in Chemistry with Professor Dave M. Haddleton from University of Warwick, United Kingdom. He moved to University of Cambridge as Postdoctoral Research Fellow with Isaacs Newton Trust Funding, he continued with postdoctoral with Professor Oren A. Scherman in Melville Laboratory of University of Cambridge before he gained a position at GKN as senior scientist. He then move to take a senior research fellow position at University of Edinburgh before joined SIAT.
Jin Geng has significant experience in the synthesis of functional nano/micro-systems, controlled polymer architectures and dynamic supramolecular assemblies through controlled living polymerisation and molecular recognition processes for biological applications. At SIAT, he is leading the research with funding from across the research councils (NSFC, Guangdong provice and Shenzhen City etc.) and industry, currently PI on research grants totaling > 12M (RMB).
